A project exhibition was arranged by the Industry Liaison Office at ASAB for final year students of the undergraduate program on the 4th April, 2019. Experts from the industry were invited for evaluation of the student projects. Industrial representatives from Shifa International Hospital, UNOPS, Sadiq Poultry Pvt Ltd and Alpha Genomics attended the event. The projects were based on a variety of research themes such as developing targeted therapeutics for various cancers, using fungal glucose oxidase to bleach cotton and a pilot scale project on growing tulips in Pakistan. The students were able to impress the industrial representatives with their project briefs. The industrial counterparts gave a very good feedback regarding the initiative and suggested that a larger number of such events be organized to bridge the gap between academia and the industry.
